ABOUT ME
A Life in Football.
Football has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I started playing at seven years old, began coaching in my early twenties, and more than three decades later, I’m still playing, coaching and learning about the game.
For me, football has always been more than a sport. It’s somewhere I feel at home. A place where I can switch off from everything else, challenge myself and enjoy doing something I genuinely love. Whatever else is happening in life, football has always been there.
That passion eventually led me into coaching, and over the years I’ve been fortunate to work across grassroots, academy, university and senior football, both in Canada and internationally.
Each experience has shaped how I see the game, but one thing has remained constant: my belief that football should be enjoyed, understood and experienced, not simply taught.
Today, my work centres on developing players, supporting coaches and exploring the tactical and educational aspects of the game. I’m still learning, still questioning and still looking for ways to improve.
And perhaps most importantly, I still love football just as much as I did when I was seven.

I believe coaching education extends beyond formal qualifications. Observing football, studying tactical concepts, exchanging ideas and questioning established approaches are all essential parts of continued development.
04 / COACHING PHILOSOPHY
The Player Comes First.
01: Develop the Player
Prioritize long-term growth over short-term results, recognizing that every player develops at their own pace.
02: Encourage Independent Thinking
Create environments where players recognize situations, make decisions and solve problems independently.
03: Inspire a Love for Football
Build positive, challenging and enjoyable environments where players develop confidence, express themselves and want to keep playing.
Winning and competition have their place, but they should complement the development process rather than define it.
Alongside coaching, I have a strong interest in tactical analysis, player development and the methodologies shaping the modern game.
This website provides an opportunity to share experiences, explore ideas, challenge my own thinking and contribute to wider conversations about football.
I don’t believe there’s one perfect way to coach or play the game. There is always something new to observe, understand and learn.
